As a small voluntary organisation we need the help of the local community to maintain and keep the museum running.
There are several ways you can help the Museum.
Join the Museum Society
Our members are the backbone of the Museum. For a very small amount each year, you are invited to attend six speaker evenings on local history topics and will receive six newsletters informing you of events and developments. Gift Aid will enhance the value of your subscription for the Museum.
Volunteer to work as a steward
If you like history and meeting people, the Museum will be an interesting place to do some voluntary work. We must have two stewards on duty during all opening times, so we need a pool of volunteers to call upon. Training in the role and responsibilities of being a steward will be provided for volunteers.
Make a donation
The Society needs to continue to raise funds to meet the ongoing operating costs of the Museum. Public donations are needed to ensure the Museum continues to serve the local community. Gift Aid will enhance the value of your subscription for the Museum.
Make a gift of historical material
If you have items of local historic interest, please consider giving them to the Museum. We need a wide range of material from which to select and vary the displays in the Museum.
Remember the Museum in your will
The knowledge that one day your generosity will be helping the Museum to prosper could be very rewarding. Please think of the Museum in your will. This can apply to historic items as well as a financial gift.
