On Tuesday 9th January the Museum was visited by the High Sheriff of
Hertfordshire, Liz Green, accompanied by Cllr. Nigel Nutkins, Town
Mayor, and Caroline Murray, Deputy Clerk.
She devoted a significant length of time to examining our displays and learning how the museum operates. Education and literacy are the themes of her year in office, and she was most taken with our Police display and our interactives.
In the Visitors' Book she wrote: 'An absolute gem, full of Tring artefacts
- wonderful displays.'
The High Sheriff lives on our patch, and told us that her elegant court
costume was made for her by Jordan, the tailor, just a few yards from
the Museum in Brook Street.
